What you can expect as a Director of Business Systems & Operational Platforms at West Star Aviation:
We are seeking a strategic professional to help bridge the gap between our field operations and IT infrastructure. In this critical role, you will own the roadmap for core platforms like FieldLogs and Celoxis, ensuring our systems align perfectly with maintenance execution and business priorities. You will be responsible for standardizing workflows across all sites, eliminating redundant manual processes, and developing high-visibility dashboards to track performance and labor. By partnering with Engineering and Scheduling, you’ll ensure our technical teams have the integrated tools they need for accurate planning and real-time reporting. We are looking for an operations-first leader who can drive system adoption and translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
Operations Systems Product Owner
· System Strategy & Roadmap: Own and manage the long-term roadmap for operational systems (e.g., FieldLogs, Celoxis), ensuring software alignment with business priorities and field execution needs.
· Operations-IT Liaison: Serve as the primary conduit between Operations and IT to translate complex business requirements into technical system enhancements and functional solutions.
· Workflow Standardization: Design and implement standardized maintenance workflows across all sites to ensure consistent data capture and operational visibility.
· Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain operational dashboards to track key performance indicators, including labor, schedule adherence, and task progression.
· Integration Management: Ensure seamless alignment between field execution systems, project tracking tools, and scheduling to support accurate performance tracking.
· Process Optimization: Proactively identify and eliminate redundant systems or manual workarounds to improve overall organizational efficiency.
Technical Publications Specialist (OEM-Focused)
· Manual Lifecycle Management: Maintain and manage all OEM technical manual subscriptions and access (AMM, SRM, IPC, etc.) to ensure data accuracy.
· Revision Monitoring: Track and implement critical technical revisions to ensure all maintenance and engineering operations are using the most current documentation.
· Documentation Distribution: Manage the digital library systems and ensure the timely distribution of updated technical data to technicians and engineers.
· Compliance & Audit Support: Assist in audit preparation and compliance tracking to ensure all technical documentation meets regulatory standards.
· Technical Support: Act as the primary resource for maintenance teams in locating and interpreting specific OEM manuals and technical documents.
What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
A bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or Aviation Management.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not required.
Your Experience
8+ years of progressive professional experience, preferably in the MRO industry. Experience working within an aviation maintenance or engineering environment. Familiarity with OEM aircraft manuals and technical data (e.g., AMM, SRM, IPC).
Experience managing digital library systems or subscription-based technical documentation.
Your Initiative

Compensation & Benefit Information
The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The salary range for this position generally ranges between $138,500-$185,000. Actual rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, as well as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), paid holidays and vacation time.
