What you can expect as a Technical Publications Specialist at West Star:
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage our OEM technical manuals and ensure our maintenance and engineering teams have seamless access to critical documentation. In this role, you will oversee OEM manual subscriptions and implement vital revisions for AMMs, SRMs, and IPCs as they are released. You will be responsible for the proper distribution of updated materials and the ongoing maintenance of our digital library systems. Beyond data management, you will act as a key support resource for technicians and engineers navigating technical documentation. Success in this position is measured by your revision accuracy, rapid response times, and consistent audit readiness. The ideal candidate brings direct experience in an aviation maintenance environment and a strong familiarity with aircraft manuals. Exceptional organizational skills are essential to keeping our operations compliant and efficient.

What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education
A High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Your Experience
Prior experience working with OEM Technical Manuals preferred.
Comfortable working with digital documentation processes or adapting technical content for electronic systems is beneficial.

Your Sense of Responsibility:

Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.

Majority of work will be accomplished in an office environment.
Some routine work in maintenance shop environment.
Some occasional work outside hangars may occur.

Personal computer operating with Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Corridor and various cost and scheduling programs. Fax machine, telephone and photocopier.
Compensation & Benefit Information
The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $26.44-$29.80. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) company match and employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
