What you can expect as an Operations Coordinator at West Star:
This position provides planning support for the Engineering Department. The Operations Coordinator will assist with planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities, including creating work packages, and Drawing Release. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail; advanced knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as strong communication skills.

You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Entering discrepancies into Corridor and Project tracking software as needed.
Sort and organize drawings and approvals for each individual project.
Assist with parts ordering, prior to aircraft arrival if necessary, and throughout the project as well as following through with parts arrival status in coordination with the Purchasing team.
Coordinating with vendors for repairs and services.
Once SOF comes through; adds to Program Manpower Sheet and assists with assigning Engineer to project.
Create project folder adding the SOF to the folder and aircraft documentation when done.
Schedules and attends kick off meeting. Takes notes and adds milestones
Schedules or attends debrief when the plane comes in and adds relevant squawks to the ENS WO
Adds discrepancies to WO that may not have been on the SOF or customer requested to be added.
Build work packages by ensuring Engineering WO is created and project is set up in Project tracking Software.
Reviews WO estimates and adds into WO; advises Engineers, Project Manager and Program Manager when completed so they can enter estimates.
Ensures PO are created for external vendors and closed prior to project closing.
Process and provide RTS documentation for AC.
Deliver drawings to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
Requests POs for services going out for repair/service.
Organize completed jobs at the end of the project by serial number; Archieve engineering data and turn in to QA for RTS
Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

What you’ll need to bring with you:

Your Education
A High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Your Experience
Extensive experience using Microsoft Office products to include Excel.
Extensive office and administrative support experience.

Your Initiative
We’re looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.

Your Sense of Responsibility
Attend work every day as scheduled
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.

Compensation & Benefit Information

The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $24.00 - $30.00. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) company match and employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
