What you can expect as a HR Generalist at DAS:

As a Generalist, you’ll be a key part of our Shared Services team, supporting a variety of HR and operational functions across the company. Your role will require a mix of responsibilities, flexibility, and attention to detail. The ability to maintain high levels of communication, confidentiality, and professionalism will be essential in your day-to-day interactions with employees and other departments.

This is a full-time position onsite in Cedar Hill, Texas. Occasional travel to our other locations will occur. We offer a work schedule of Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.. Occasionally, you may be asked to work outside normal hours to accommodate employee events or other special circumstances, so flexibility is important.

You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:

  • Employee Record Management: You will ensure smooth transitions for employees across various stages of their journey with the company. This includes documenting and processing changes related to employment status, maintaining electronic employee files, etc.
  • Full Cycle Recruiting: Responsible for the full recruiting process from posting to pre-employment screenings.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding Support: Assist with employee onboarding by scheduling start dates, facilitating orientation. You will be a key contact for helping employees navigate their new roles, ensuring smooth transitions for everyone involved. Assist with offboarding by scheduling and conducting exit interviews, processing paperwork, etc.
  • Communication and Coordination: Be a central point of contact for employees across various departments. You’ll support employee inquiries, coordinate various HR processes, and work to ensure that all employees are supported and informed throughout their time with us.
  • Additional Duties: As a generalist, you may be called upon to support other HR-related functions such as recruitment, employee engagement, benefits administration, or other projects as needed.
 
What you’ll need to bring with you:

Your Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is preferred. We will consider 2-5 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Your Experience:
Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point experience required.
Experience using HRIS systems (ADP preferred), ATS, project management software like Monday.com, Smartsheets or Asana highly preferred.

Your Initiative:
We’re looking for a team player who is self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common. This person will also need to always maintain confidentiality and have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Your Sense of Responsibility:
Attend work every day as scheduled
Notify the supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each day.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties

Physical Requirements:

Lift and carry up to 10 lbs
Routine walking, bending, stooping and sitting.

Travel Requirements

Valid drivers license required

Ability to drive on behalf of the company required. 

Travel between DAS Aviation locations in the Dallas area

Laptop computer operating with Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and various other programs.
