What you can expect as a Program Coordinator at West Star:
The Program Coordinator supports program execution across multiple sites and operations by driving consistency, identifying improvement opportunities, and helping teams turn priorities into action. This role partners closely with Program and Project Managers, General Managers, DOMs, and support teams across the network to strengthen execution and alignment. The position plays an important role in standardization efforts across retail MRO sites and supports key initiatives tied to the implementation of the new Production Control system. This individual helps identify effective best practices across the enterprise and works with stakeholders to implement them across locations. They also support continuous improvement efforts by engaging operational and support teams, monitoring progress, and helping sustain change over time. The ideal candidate brings strong MRO operational experience, familiarity with continuous improvement and change management concepts, and the ability to use operational data to guide practical action.
This position will be an onsite role at any of the following locations: East Alton, IL; Grand Junction, CO; Chattanooga, TN; Perryville, MO
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
Establish Standard Work (Baseline) Process:
o Identify effective methods for safely and efficiently completing program inspections and checks using currently available resources.
o Compare program performance across key operational KPIs using FP&A data and related analysis.
o Define the baseline for expectations and future improvements, establishing the standard from which progress will be measured.
Continuous Improvement:
o Monitor program operations across sites and identify opportunities to improve execution, efficiency, and consistency.
o Monitor and support the development of the tech-by-tech training program to encourage growth and capability development at all levels.
o Promote consistent team management aligned with established baseline expectations.
o Assist in initiating projects that reduce waste, lower operating costs, and improve overall efficiency.
Strategic Alignment:
o Engage program execution managers and leads across all locations to ensure teams remain aligned on baseline expectations and improvement initiatives.
o Provide timely communication on progress, risks, and engagement to leadership.
o Ensure program projects and initiatives support West Star Aviation’s broader vision and strategic plan.
Performance Monitoring:
o Monitor and track program metrics, KPIs, and progress tied to initiatives and improvement efforts.
o Provide regular status reports on program health, execution progress, and benefits realization.
Daily Operations Oversight:
o Monitor individual site performance, from material procurement through final product delivery, to support customer demand and operational goals.
Risk Mitigation:
o Identify, understand, and communicate risks that could affect the program lifecycle or initiative progress, and assist in developing and tracking contingency plans.
KEY RESULTS In support of the West Star 5-year strategy
o Aligned production processes to support improved labor efficiency o Standard process for Production Control and digitization of maintenance task cards.
o Execution of current, and implementation of future production control systems and processes
o Improved program efficiency results across network locations o Established continuous improvement initiatives
What you’ll need to bring with you
Your Education:
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Certifications: A&P certificate preferred, or at minimum an Airframe certificate.
Your Experience:
At least 5 years of experience as a lead technician, team lead, or in a similar role supporting specific program airframe models or related operations.
Experience working across functions and locations to support execution, alignment, and operational improvement is strongly valued.
Familiarity with office support and communication tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI is required.

Some travel between other retail and base maintenance sites is required

Partner with other key enterprise stakeholders (FP&A, IT, PMO, Facilities, HR, etc.) in bringing forward ideas and gaining support for initiatives.

Compensation & Benefit Information
The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The salary range for this position generally ranges between $125,000-$130,000. Actual rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, as well as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), paid holidays and vacation time.
