What you can expect as a Manufacturing Quality Inspector - Aerospace at DAS Aviation:
As a Manufacturing Quality Inspector at DAS Aviation, you play a critical role in ensuring flight safety and operational excellence. You will serve as the final line of defense for product integrity, transforming complex aerospace blueprints into perfectly verified hardware. This position offers a dynamic environment where precision meets purpose, directly supporting our manufacturing pipeline by maintaining total product conformity, regulatory compliance, and bulletproof traceability.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured and repaired components
• Interpret and inspect to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
• Verify dimensional characteristics using precision measuring equipment
• Review work orders, travelers, certifications, and supporting documentation for completeness and
• accuracy
• Document inspection results and maintain inspection records
• Identify and document nonconforming material and products
• Assist with containment and segregation of nonconforming products
• Verify compliance with customer, FAA, and AS9100 requirements
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in accordance with AS9102
• Perform visual inspections for workmanship, finish, and processing requirements
• Ensure traceability requirements are maintained throughout the manufacturing process
• Work closely with manufacturing personnel to resolve inspection-related issues
What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Your Experience:
Strong understanding of GD&T
Experience using precision measuring equipment
Aerospace manufacturing and/or FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience
Experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems
Experience completing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
Experience operating CMM equipment
Experience reviewing material certifications, process certifications, and traceability documentation
Familiarity with engineering drawings and aerospace GD&T; practices
