What you can expect as a Quality Control Administrator at West Star:
This position provides administrative support for the Quality Assurance department. It requires strong organization and attention to detail, intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and strong telephone skills. One of the main duties of this position will be reviewing work orders for completion, accuracy, and proper documentation. However, job duties may vary each day. 

You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS, including:

  • Reviews work orders for completion, accuracy, and proper documentation.
  • Processing of completed maintenance task documentation to the customer.
  • Organize maintenance documentation into an established standardized format for ease of review.
  • Data entry into Corridor Aviation Maintenance Program.
  • Assist the Chief Inspector with vendor audits and FAA audits.
  • Send and receive vendor audits with directions from the Chief Inspector.
  • Assist with daily logbook entries for customer aircraft.
  • Thoroughly familiar with the Repair Station Quality Manual.
  • Thoroughly familiar with the Customer General Maintenance Manual.
  • Foster and maintain a professional relationship with customers and fleet operators.
  • Assist with the development of new processes and techniques to help the facility run more efficiently.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
  • Additional duties as needed by the Chief Inspector.
  What you’ll need to bring with you: 

Your Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory. 

Your Experience:
Prior experience reviewing aircraft maintenance records is preferred. Experience using Corridor systems is ideal. 

Your Initiative:
We’re looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common. This person will need to have strong attention to detail, be well-organized, and be able to prioritize workload efficiently. 

Your Sense of Responsibility:
Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
Able to travel, work weekends, overtime, and any shift as required.
Notify your supervisor in advance of shift start if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each day.
Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during the performance of duties.
Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Physical Requirements

Sit at a desk and/or computer for extended intervals.

Basic personal computer operations.

Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation.
Professionally work with others.
Must be able to input and retrieve information from computers.
Experience with Microsoft products, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets.
Work independently with minimal supervision. 

Working Conditions
Industrial office environment. 

Equipment Used
Personal computer operating Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Corridor, and various cost and scheduling programs. Fax machine, telephone, and photocopier.

Compensation & Benefit Information

The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $50,000 - $55,000. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) company match and employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
