What you can expect as an AOG Aircraft Maintenance Technician (TEB) at West Star:

As an AOG (Aircraft on Ground) Maintenance Technician, you are the elite first responder of the aviation world, dedicated to getting our customers back in the air with speed and precision. Operating in a high-stakes, 24/7/365 environment, you’ll travel to various field locations to troubleshoot and resolve time-sensitive mechanical or avionics issues on a wide array of sophisticated corporate aircraft. This role offers incredible autonomy and variety—no two days are the same as you provide world-class technical expertise and a professional, "can-do" attitude directly to our clients wherever they need us most.

This position is required to be based out of the Teterboro, NJ area.

You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:

• Provide immediate and 24/7 responses for AOG support during assigned workdays.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Control on the status of all dispatched events.
• Secure and organize appropriate tooling and equipment for each event.
• Maintain an accurate and daily account of the event to ensure timely and accurate processing of work orders along with daily timekeeping.
• Ensure all work is accomplished within the requirements of the Repair Station Manual, Quality Standards and other applicable regulations or manuals.
• Coordinate with the Quality Team to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain professional care and custody of assigned or loaned company vehicles, rental cars, tooling and/or equipment.
• Follow all company policies (i.e. professionalism, proper attire).
• Manage timely and accurate expenses and reports.
• Maintain and grow customer relationships, including making customer outreach at WSA locations or other airports where the event is taking place.
• Must be available to work at MSP or any other location as dispatched
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English 

What you’ll need to bring with you: 

Your Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and a valid passport.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant is required. 

Your Experience:
Must hold a valid A&P certificate and have a minimum of 5 years of experience providing maintenance on one of the following aircraft:
Embraer Phenom 100 & 300
Embraer Legacy/Prator
Hawker 800/900
Cessna Citation Series
Dassault Falcon
Bombardier Challenger 350/650
Bombardier Global 5000/6000
King Air
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Corridor and Maintenance Manuals.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Supervision                                       
Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance.
May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.

Working Conditions            
Work is performed in a hangar or flight line environment and subject to extreme temperature variations from very cold to very hot.                
Exposure to fumes or other airborne particles, moving parts, loud noises and vibration.     
Work outside during aircraft runs will occur.
Varied positions in and around the aircraft.

Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic.
Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment.
Jacks, stands, lifts and other support devices.
Tugs, power carts and other engine powered equipment.
