What you can expect as a Repair Station Manager - Specialized Services/Evaluation at DAS Aviation:
The Continuous Improvement & Specialized Services Manager is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and technical capability expansion throughout the organization. This role serves as a key leader in improving operational performance, standardizing best practices, enhancing compliance, and developing specialized technical capabilities that support the long-term success of the Repair Station.
The position will lead continuous improvement initiatives, oversee the development and management of specialized services—including aircraft welding, precision machining, tooling, and Evaluation & Teardown operations—and serve as a mentor and resource to the Repair Station Manager and operational leadership team. This role is instrumental in strengthening organizational performance, enhancing compliance, and supporting future growth objectives.

What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education
Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
An equivalent combination of formal education, technical training, and extensive aviation leadership experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification a plus.
FAA A&P or previous Repairman Certificate eligibility.
Your Experience
7-10+ years of progressive leadership experience within an aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) or FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment.
3-5+ years of direct experience managing specialized technical departments (machining, aviation welding, tooling, or component teardown).
Proven track record of successfully leading continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) projects that resulted in measurable turnaround time reductions.
Deep working knowledge of FAA regulations, specific to Part 145 compliance, approved technical data, and industry documentation standards.

Your Sense of Responsibility
Ensure strict compliance of all specialized services with applicable FAA regulations, approved technical data, and industry standards.
Maintain total oversight of proper calibration, traceability, maintenance, and control of all tooling and equipment.
Accountable for key organization metrics, including reduced rework, improved quality performance, and optimized turnaround times.
Champion safety and quality alignment across all operations and support functions.
Other Particulars:
Physical Requirements
Position operates in both office and FAA Part 145 repair station production environments.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Regular exposure to industrial equipment, cleaning solvents, warehouse operations, and varying temperatures.
Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working in designated production areas.
