To be successful in this role, all essential job functions must be performed onsite in an active hangar or office environment 4-5 days a week. Building and maintaining strong and collaborative relationships with employees along with operational management and other support teams is also required to successfully meet the performance expectations of a Technical Training Instructor.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
Your Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent.
Associates degree in aviation maintenance, avionics or in instructor development or facilitation is preferred.
An FAA A&P, Transport Canada AME, an EASA or equivalent license.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Your Experience:
4+ years related work experience in aviation maintenance, Avionics, or as a Quality Inspector in a part 147 environment.
Prior experience instructing classroom or on the job technical training involving complex skills, processes and/or various manuals. Experience with learning management systems (LMS) preferred.
Your Initiative:

Your Sense of Responsibility:
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Physical Requirements
Lifts 50 lbs.
Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.
Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
Climb ladders and stairs, work in small, restricted areas.
Standing for long periods of time.
Mental Requirements
Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
Proficient and comfortable with virtually based instruction.
Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and similar technical data.
Work with others in a professional manner.
Supervision
Work under supervision of the Director of Technical Training.
Working Conditions
Varied positions in and around the aircraft as well as inside a classroom setting (virtual and in person) will be the norm.
Equipment Used
Computer software programs, (Windows 2010 Suite, PowerPoint, MS Word, FrameMaker, MS Photo Editor, Adobe Pro) in order to develop, revise and deliver training material and presentations
Compensation & Benefit Information
The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The salary range for this position generally ranges between $90k-$100k. Actual rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, as well as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), paid holidays and vacation time.
