What you can expect as a Benefits Manager at West Star:  
The Benefits Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for the strategy, administration, compliance, and day-to-day execution of employee benefit programs across the enterprise. As the organization's benefits subject matter expert, this role personally leads benefit operations to include annual enrollment, employee communications, compliance, governance and reporting. Success in this role requires both critical thinking and a willingness to actively engage in the operational delivery of benefits services

You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
Manage health and welfare, retirement, disability, and voluntary benefit programs. 
Lead open enrollment planning, communications, and execution along with routine communications during the year.
Manage brokers, carriers, consultants, and third-party vendors to include enrollment systems and data connections.
Manage benefit related invoices and enrollment data along with scheduled or periodic audits.
Oversee leave and accommodations through active leadership of an LOA Specialist and vendor management.
Develop, implement, and manage employee wellness programs and initiatives to promote workforce health, engagement, and overall well-being.
Monitor benefit program trends and utilization to identify opportunities for enhancement and drive continuous improvement of benefits offerings.
Ensure compliance and governance with associated federal regulations and a multi-state environment.
Collaborate with HR and Payroll leadership and maintain a strong partnership.
Monitor vendor performance and support annual renewals. 

What you'll need to bring with you:

Your Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and generalist experience in HR. 
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Your Experience:
Five or more years of specialized benefits experience, including benefits administration, compliance, vendor management, employee communications, and employee support.
Experience supporting a large employee population within a multi-state manufacturing, aviation, service, or similarly complex operating environment.
Working knowledge of employee benefits compliance and administration in a multi-state environment.
Strong critical thinking, leadership, project management, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and execute.

Work under the supervision of the Director of Shared Services.

Compensation & Benefit Information

The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The salary range for this position generally ranges between $80K-$120K. Actual rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, as well as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), paid holidays and vacation time.
